Privacy Policy for Remaining: Time Left

Effective Date: May 26, 2026 Last Updated: May 26, 2026 Application: Remaining: Time Left (com.remaining) Developer / Publisher: tomatosauce/Romario Bennett Privacy Contact:metroairborne@proton.me

1. Overview

Remaining: Time Left ("Remaining," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") is a wellness reflection and time-awareness application. It allows a user to answer lifestyle and optional health-context questions, generates a longevity projection from bundled public-reference information and a local estimation model, and presents time-awareness views such as a countdown, life calendar, factor insights, and projection comparisons.

Remaining is designed to be private by design:

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why it handles it, where it is stored, whether it leaves the device, and the controls available to users.

2. Important Wellness and Medical Notice

Remaining is intended for general wellness reflection, education, and time awareness. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, risk certification, or a guaranteed prediction of lifespan or date of death.

The estimates shown by the app are projections based on population-reference data and user-provided inputs. Individual outcomes may differ significantly. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions, symptoms, test results, treatment choices, or health-related decisions.

3. Applicability of This Policy

This policy applies to information handled through the Remaining Android application as presently implemented and distributed by the developer identified above.

This policy does not govern:

4. Information the App May Handle

4.1 Information You May Enter During an Assessment

To generate or update a local projection, Remaining may ask you to provide the following information:

CategoryExamplesRequired or OptionalPurpose
General profileAge; optional birthday; sex; countryAssessment inputsEstablish a relevant population baseline and current age context
Body measurementsHeight; weight; calculated BMI rangeOptional / assessment inputsApply body-weight context within the estimation model
Lifestyle informationSmoking status; activity level; sleep; alcohol use; diet qualityAssessment inputsCalculate lifestyle-related adjustments and display factor insights
Health contextKnown chronic conditionsOptional / assessment inputApply general health-context adjustment
Wellbeing contextStress; social supportOptional / assessment inputDisplay and calculate conservative wellness-context adjustments
Advanced health markersBlood pressure status; A1C/blood glucose status; cholesterol status; resting heart rate statusOptional, in Advanced ModeRefine the locally calculated projection when the user elects to provide additional context

These inputs may relate to health or wellness and should be treated as sensitive by the user.

4.2 Information Calculated by the App

Based on your inputs, the app calculates information such as:

4.3 Information Stored on Your Device

The current version stores a local projection record in Android app storage using SharedPreferences. The saved record may contain:

The current version also stores a local setting indicating whether Sensitive Mode is enabled.

The app processes questionnaire answers to calculate the result. It does not currently persist every raw question response as a complete assessment profile after calculation. However, the saved factor summary and projection record can reflect sensitive inferences about the inputs you provided.

4.4 Information the Current Version Does Not Request or Access

The current version does not request access to:

If future versions add permissions, cloud services, analytics, Health Connect, wearables, subscriptions, accounts, or new data uses, this policy and relevant in-app/Play Console disclosures will be updated before those features are released where required.

5. How Information Is Used

Remaining uses the information handled through the app only to provide user-requested functionality, including:

We do not use assessment information for:

6. Local Processing and Network Transfers

6.1 On-Device Processing

The app's estimate calculation and user-facing visualizations are performed locally on the Android device.

6.2 No Developer Backend Collection in the Current Version

The current app implementation does not include an app backend, an account system, analytics collection, advertising SDKs, or internet-based transmission of questionnaire answers or generated projections to the developer.

The application manifest currently does not request Android internet access permission.

6.3 Public Reference Data Is Bundled Locally

The app contains bundled local reference tables and source metadata derived from or informed by public sources, including:

Your assessment answers are not sent to the World Bank, WHO, CDC, NCHS, NHANES, or other source organizations by the app. Source names shown in the app identify the public information used to support its local estimation approach; they do not indicate that those organizations endorse the app.

7. Data Sharing, Sale, and Third Parties

7.1 No Sale of Personal or Sensitive Information

We do not sell your assessment information, health-related inputs, derived projections, or locally stored app data.

7.2 No Developer-Initiated Sharing of Assessment Data

In the current version, we do not transmit or disclose your locally processed assessment data or projection data to third parties through an app backend.

7.3 User-Directed Export

The app offers an export feature. If you choose Export My Data, the app prepares a projection export and opens Android's system share sheet. You decide whether to send or save that export and which external app or service receives it.

Once you choose to share exported information with another application, cloud drive, email provider, messaging service, or other recipient, that recipient's privacy practices govern its handling of the information. You should share projection data only with destinations you trust.

7.4 Software Components

The app uses Android/Jetpack user-interface libraries and the Lottie Android Compose library to render interface animations. As implemented in this version, these components are used for local app presentation and are not configured by the app to transmit assessment or projection information to the developer or advertising/analytics providers.

8. Storage, Security, and Protection Measures

The app stores saved projection information in Android private application storage. This storage is ordinarily isolated from other apps by Android's application sandbox, subject to the security of the user's device and operating system.

Privacy and security measures implemented in the current version include:

No storage or security method is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Users should protect access to their devices using appropriate device security controls, especially if they consider their projection information sensitive.

9. Retention and Deletion

9.1 Retention

Saved projection information remains stored locally on your device until one of the following occurs:

Because the current version does not transmit your assessment or projection record to a developer backend, we do not maintain a server-side copy for you to request from us or ask us to erase.

9.2 Delete Local Data in the App

You may delete saved projection data by going to the app's Settings area and choosing Delete Local Data. The app asks for confirmation before removing the locally saved projection record and returning to setup.

9.3 Export Before Deleting

If you want a copy of your saved projection before deletion, use Export My Data before deleting local data. Exports saved or shared outside the app are not automatically deleted when you delete data inside Remaining.

10. Backups and Device Transfers

Remaining is configured with Android backup settings intended to prevent the locally saved projection record from being backed up to Android cloud backup or restored during device transfer. This is intended to support the app's local-only privacy design and to prevent old projection records from unexpectedly reappearing after reinstallation or transfer.

Backup and device behavior may still depend on Android platform behavior, device manufacturer implementation, operating system version, or user-controlled external exports.

11. Children's Privacy and Intended Audience

Remaining's assessment flow is designed for adults and supports assessment ages of 18 to 100. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer backend.

If you believe a child has used the app in a manner that raises a privacy concern, contact us using the privacy contact information at the top of this policy.

12. International Users

The app may be made available to users in multiple countries and offers selection of countries to support population-reference estimates. In the current version, user-entered assessment information and generated projection records remain locally processed and stored on the user's device unless the user elects to export them.

Users may have privacy rights under laws applicable in their jurisdiction. Because the current version does not maintain an account or server-side assessment database, the primary mechanisms to access or erase saved projection information are the on-device export and delete controls described above.

13. Google Play Disclosures

Remaining includes health-related and wellness-related functionality. The developer is responsible for completing accurate Google Play Console declarations, including the Health Apps declaration and Data safety disclosures applicable to the released version.

For the current locally processed version:

Google Play's disclosures and definitions may differ from ordinary-language uses of words such as "collect" or "share." This policy is intended to explain the app's actual data flow clearly to users.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality, data handling, legal obligations, or distribution requirements change. For example, an update would be needed before introducing features such as cloud synchronization, accounts, analytics, advertising, Health Connect, wearable integrations, subscription billing, or remote AI processing of assessment information.

When this policy is changed, the updated version will include a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through the store listing as appropriate.
